Container Delivery
We use an established haulage firm with a varied fleet of trucks. As a regular user we receive haulage at a discounted rate which is then passed on to you, our end user.
Due to the size of the lorry mounted cranes, containers can be unloaded at a distance that our competitors often fail to reach.
The Shipping Container will be delivered on a vehicle that is fitted with its’ own crane, this is called a Hi-Ab. As the container is delivered off the side of the vehicle, we will require around 20’ width to allow for the offload. You must also ensure that there are no overhanging trees or cables. We will require a hard core access to the delivery site due to the weight of the vehicle. The height of the lorry will be approximately 15’ with the Container loaded and you will need to allow an arctic lorry that is a maximum of 60’ long by 8’6” wide plus some allowance for the wing mirrors. We also have Lorries sized at 34’ long by 8’6” wide these are used for smaller containers and difficult deliveries.
Shipping Containers can be delivered almost anywhere, if you have any concerns regarding delivery we are happy to discuss them with you, as our experienced drivers have many methods and options for difficult deliveries on awkward sites.
It is important to check the area where you would like the container to be placed. Here are some things to consider before delivery:
Wasted transport costs can be incurred if we are unable to deliver for any of the above reasons. We allow 45 minutes for the driver to offload the container. Additional costs are charged at £60 per hour for extra time.
